Secoin’s new factory for encaustic cement tiles in Hochiminh City | On October 7th, 2011, Secoin Saigon Industry-Investment Joint-stock company officially opened the 2nd factory for encaustic cement tiles in Le Minh Xuan industrial zone, Binh Chanh District, Hochiminh City. This new factory is set up to increase production capacity to meet with the increasing demand from the international market and domestic high-end market.
Secoin’s 2nd encaustic cement tile factory is located in the former encaustic tile factory of Thanh Danh company. Thanh Danh used to be a state-owned company founded in 1910 with long tradition in making encaustic cement tiles. After Thanh Danh were closed down, Secoin took over that factory and recovered all the production.
In this factory, Secoin installed a stable production line with nearly 100 workers and staff. The company plans to invest more equipment and labor to further increase production after a certain period of time.
A noteworthy point of Secoin’s 2nd encaustic cement tile factory is that all the workers have high skill and long experience in making encaustic cement tile. More than 70% of the workers have over 10 years of experience and 30% have over 20 years of experience. With the purpose of gathering the top artisans in Vietnam to produce high quality and aesthetic products for the world market, Secoin have been making best efforts to become the world-leading manufacturer for encaustic cement tiles. |
