September 15th, 1998: Ha Noi People's Committee issued the Decision to licence the investment on Floortile Terrazzo Factory (SETERRA). On September 21st, 1998 Planning & Investment Department granted Investment licence to Secoin for the construction of the factory.
On September 25th, 1998 Secoin opened SETERRA factory and officially started the production based on Italian technology-equipment.

On October 22nd,1998
supplied the first lot of outdoor floortiles with the trade mark
SETERRA to the project of National Film Centre In Ha Noi.
October, 1999 :
SECOIN was honourably awarded Gold Medal for product of floortile under trademark SETERRA at International Industrial Fair October, 1999. Up to now, Secoin has received nearly 50 gold medals for Secoin's products at various fairs & exhibitions locally and internationally.

January, 2000 :
SECOIN signed the first Contract to export floortile under trademark SETERRA to Japan and since then, SETERRA outdoor floortile has gained a stable position in this “demanding” market. Hundreds of containers and dozens of SETERRA floortile models have been exported to Japan so far.
June, 2000 :
SECOIN signed a Contract to buy the whole Company of SUPER BRICK. This is a company with 100% capital from Japan specializing in manufacturing blocks. |

Buying back Japanese SUPER BRICK factory
|
The
whole factory on the area of 14,000m2 and the material installation,
equipment and machine of this company which were invested in Non nong,
Ngoc hoa, Chuong my, Ha tay had been transferred to SECOIN on August
21st, 2000. This is one of the very rare projects in Vietnam where a
Vietnamese company has bought a company with 100% foreign invested
capital.
On September 26th,
2000 The People’s Committee of Hatay has issued the Decision No.
1767-CV/UB-NV which allowed SECOIN to receive SUPER BRICK Company.

July 2000 :
On the occasion of 990 years Thang Long-Hanoi, the People’s Committee of Hanoi and the Public Transportation Office decided to choose SETERRA tiles to supply for the most important projects of the Capital such as Indra Gandhi flower garden, Lenin park, ... especially, SETERRA tiles were used to pave the path system around Sword Lake, a historical place with well-known and spiritual beauty not only for the Hanoian but also for the people from all over the country.
October 5th, 2000 :
Setting up branch SECOIN Hatay. On October 5th, 2000 Hatay Planning and Investment Department ssued the Business Registration for SECOIN Hatay.

Secoin's new head office at 59 Hang Chuoi, Hanoi

January 1st, 2002 :
The whole office of SECOIN has officially moved from Rm. 9-12, 3rd floor, Cho Hom, Hue Street to new Head office at No. 59 Hang Chuoi Str., Pham-Dinh-Ho Ward, Hai-Ba-Trung Dist., Hanoi. All the material used for the construction of the new office are made by Secoin, such as concrete block and terrazzo tiles.
